Our fun with Pat, Jessica and family!

We thoroughly enjoyed having the Smith family stay with us for 7 nights! We miss them terribly and wish they'd come again next week!

While here we enjoyed a night without the kids at a fun restaurant by ASU (name escapes me...Jessica will remember). All I know is that their garlic sauce is horribly addictive and I think I ate 4 pitas dipped in that stuff! We had a fun time at the science center with all the kids (whew)! We had our cook-a-thon... More on that later... We watched the kids play trains over and over again. We watched the kids play in the sprinklers and blow bubbles.

The kids went to bed at insanely late hours (and so did we), and they woke at insanely early hours (we tried our best not to get up, but what can you do)? Of course the most important thing was the blessing of June Allison, which was wonderful. We also enjoyed 2 Sunday meals together (what's better than friends and food anyway)?

It was a wonderful time and we wish we could do it all over! Here are pics from all the fun!

Hi-Yah!

Channing and Cameron both passed their karate belt testing and graduated to the next belt. Channing is a green belt and Cameron is a half yellow/half camo belt. (all these half belts get confusing)! At first they gave Cameron a yellow belt, but when we pointed out that he knew the whole form and should get a whole, he went from 1/2 to another 1/2 = a whole belt. This is the first time he's been able to do a whole form, so it was a great accomplishment for him. They both worked hard and practiced at home so they were very prepared. Now they are both in the same class again (thank goodness)!

Exhaustion!

Well, Spring Break has come to an end. We had tons of fun and I think it will take a few days to recover. We went to 2 different parks with friends (on different days), played at the Science Center for nearly 4 hours, ate at the Mexican recipe exchange at Ashley's house (tons of fun), picked up Pat and Jessica and kids at the airport for a 2 night stay, had a baby blessing at our house and a dinner for 21 people, and managed to squeeze in about 1/2 of my piano lessons and a couple classes of karate! It was a whirlwind week!
