Our Easter Egg Hunt gets relocated…

So part of the crazy fun we got to have at the beginning of April started when the Smiths were at our house.  Less than a week later, the Eyre’s pulled into town for their Spring Break!  We held a big Easter Egg hunt for all the kids including the Eyre’s cousins and Erma’s 2 grandkids.  We WERE going to have it outside, but as you can see from the pictures, we had to change our plans…

Caelyn got to dye her first Easter Egg this year!  We always dye eggs and make a fun mess doing it… They turned out great this year and the kids are starting to get really creative in the designs they do on their eggs.

We can scarcely believe our luck! Maybe it’s just March… It was such a fun month though!

The whole 4th grade put on a “show” about Utah’s history and lots of kids sang little parts in it.  Imagine my surprise when Channing stepped up to the mic and starting singing a solo!  I had no idea he was doing that!  He did a great job and was super cute!

I took pictures of Dacia’s kids at Thanksgiving Point.  The weather was pretty darn nice for Utah in the winter/early Spring.

Our friends, the Smiths, drove all the way from Washington to come for Spring Break!  We had such a blast and I wish we could do it again and again!  The boys were in school that week, but they were around enough and Cason was only in 1/2 day kindergarten, so he was home a lot.

We played at a few parks, went to the library, celebrated Nora’s birthday, had an Easter egg hunt, took pictures at Thanksgiving point, went to the Children’s Museum in SLC and watched Conference on TV.  It was such a fun week!  The crazy part was that the weather was awesome.  Even HOT when we went to the park.  Sunburns all around.  Then it SNOWED like crazy!  Biggest storm of the year!  It was nuts!  Welcome to Utah!

Wicked! March 2012

So let’s see here.  We bought tickets to see WICKED last summer.  This was WAY before we knew we were moving.  So this was one of the stipulations I gave for moving.  That we get to fly back to see the show!  Dacia and Jason bought tickets too, so we made a big trip of it and all crashed at Chris and J’Nett’s (thanks guys)!  We had lots of fun eating all over town and going shopping and seeing part of Grease (Blake was in it at his high school).  We went to Jesterz and had a great time laughing like crazy! We ate at Cibo (favorite pizza place in PHX) with Dacia and Jason and Brenda and Aaron.  Ate at Carolina’s (great Mexican).  We did take out from Pan Asia (best Chinese in PHX).  Then we saw Wicked! It was absolutely astounding and we loved it!  The singers were incredible and I’d see it again in a heartbeat!  What a super fun trip!  We didn’t get to see many friends since we were  only there for a short while, but we saw Edna, Julie Hatch and Ashley Whipple at Jesterz and quickly stopped by the Quino’s on the way to the airport (thanks for the girl scout thin mints Mia)!
