Cameron’s Kindergarten Family Picnic

Cameron’s class had a great End-of-the-Year-Picnic/Water Party on the 22nd.  The kids had fun running around with water bottles staying cool (it was a rather warm day).  It was a long drawn out water fight, but pretty calm by most standards.  There were hamburgers and hot dogs and lots of different side dishes.  Yummy! It was super cute and fun and fast! The perfect way to end the year for little kiddos!  He has done a fabulous job in Kindergarten and he loves his teacher, Ms. Lieber, very much.  I know he will miss her when school is out!

Oh ya, there’s some horrendous belly shot that Bob took of me.  Just for Andrea… (It may disappear later)!

Almost there! Channing 1 step away from Black Belt, Cameron right behind him!

The boys did a fabulous job at karate graduation on the 20th!  Channing passed his self-defense test with flying colors.  He knew that stuff cold.  It was great!  Cameron, who really struggled this time, pulled off the first 4 forms all in the same test!  He breezed right through them (not like the day before where he could not get through yellow belt form without a lot of help).  A few times through at home with the practice dvd and he finally had it.  He did great!

Channing is now 1 step away from being a black belt and Cameron is only 3 behind him.  They’ve been working very hard at passing their tests and pre-quals and it will soon pay off!  The hardest part for both of them has been breaking boards consistently.  They’ve had to practice a lot!  It’s good to see them really work and strive for something and set a goal.

Mother’s Day – May 2010

I had a very nice Mother’s Day starting with a great breakfast in bed brought to me by Bob and the boys.  Bob only had 1 meeting (very rare) so he was here a good portion of the morning which was very nice.  The boys all made cute cards at church for me and Channing painted a fan at school for me. Bob bought some beautiful flowers that are currently sitting on my table!  We had a nice dinner of stuffed shells, green salad, fruit salad and muffins that we got to share with Chris & J’nett and family. It was a very nice day!

Mother’s Day Karate 2010

Well, this year I could not participate in Mother’s day karate, so J’nett took my place because the boys really wanted to go.  Ari got to come as well so it was really fun to watch the four of them.  The place was packed with moms and kids and it was really cute to watch them all learn together!
