Channing participated in the PACE gifted program at Broadmor Elementary and one of the projects they did was invent a toy. They made a prototype of the toy and then they had a tradeshow that parents and friends attended. Everyone was given a certain allotment of shares that they could buy toys with (pretending). They goal was to sell the most shares to prospective buyers. It was quite the big deal and several schools were involved! Amazingly, Channing’s group came out on top in the end! They sold “Monkstars”. Sock Monkey’s that could sing Rock and play drums and guitar. It was pretty cute and his group did a great job! We had fun looking at all the different ideas that the kids came up with. Maybe there are some future entrepreneurs in that group!
