Makutu’s Island – Aug. 10, 2009

Our last adventure before school started was to go to Makutu’s Island and play in the tree houses.  J’Nett and Jacob joined us for the fun.  We had fun climbing all over the place.  I went to the very top walked across the rope bridge and then down a very steep slide!  The twisty slides are always a big hit with the kids.  Cason did a lot more than he was able to do last time.  This was to his detriment though.  He was up on the first floor and fell through the hole 6 feet to the first floor.  Amazingly, he was shaken up, but not hurt.  Not a scratch on him.  Lucky kid!  He was probably sore the next day, but he didn’t act like it. He still talks about falling through the hole though, so it must have been somewhat traumatic for him.  Other than that drama, we had a great time and the kids and I were worn out by the end of our adventure!
