We spent a fun-filled 5 days and 6 nights at the Eyre’s house in Fremont, CA at the end of June and the beginning of July. I drove to Redlands (where we slept at Merrill and Stephanie’s) and then the rest of the way to Fremont the following day. (All by myself with the 3 boys, might I add – and 8 months pregnant)! Bob flew in on the 2nd of July to join us before going to Patrick’s Point.
The kids had so much fun playing with their friends and we all loved getting to meet the newest member of the Eyre’s family, baby Rachel. Kimberly and I braved 8 kids and took them all to the Jelly Belly factory (yes, that was quite the adventure) and when Adam was off work on a Wed. the 3 of us took the kids to the beach for an afternoon. We also had fun swimming and hot-tubbing, letting the kids play tennis and ride scooters, and celebrating Nathan and Cason’s 4th birthdays (a little early). It was tons of fun hanging out and just being together. We had bouts of sickness and flu but luckily it was the 24 hour kind and hit only Cason, Nathan and Cameron.
Playing Outside & Inside! Let the games begin!
Jelly Belly Factory Tour!
Swimming in the backyard pool and hot-tub (yep, we had family night in the hot-tub – that was a first for me)!
Family Night treats! Yummy!
A fun time at the beach! The kids loved playing in this little river area that waves would come into and dump out of (and we loved it too because the water was shallow and it made the kids easier to watch)! The kids loved to bogey board and the would pull each other on them. Kimberly and I hid in the shade of the umbrella!
We even saw dolphins! It was really fun!
A little early birthday fun for Cason and Nathan – both turning 4 in July. Cake with whipped cream and glow sticks – the perfect 4-year old party!
Oh ya, let’s not forget the wildlife around the Eyre’s house. Can you see the deer? We saw several over the few days that we were there. We also saw 2 foxes!
