Caelyn’s 2nd Birthday!

She’s 2! What a great 2nd birthday she had surrounded by friends and family.  We had a pasta bar that had Bob’s marinara and alfredo and my meat sauce and 3 different kinds of pasta along with yummy homemade bread.  For dessert we had some delicious cupcakes made by a gal in the ward.  They were awesome! Coconut, Black Forest, Lemon and Chocolate.  Caelyn loved hers!  Everyone gave her such cute gifts too.  She was very excited about them all and she loves to play with them and wear them and sleep on them!

Caelyn is a loving little girl.  She loves to see her Grandma and Grandpa everyday (perks of living with grandparents)! She likes to run to her aunt Celeste’s next door.  She always wants to go outside and you will often find her in the pantry trying to get a snack.  She thinks that she can do everything that the boys do and she often tries (sometimes with good results and sometimes with not so good results).  She loves to sing “Twinkle Twinkle” although most of the words at this point are unintelligible, her pitch is dead on.  She also loves singing Happy Birthday and we hear it pretty much everyday at some point.  She eats almost everything we give her.  Veges, fruit, bread, whatever…she’ll eat it (unless it’s avocado…that’s the only thing we’ve found that she won’t eat plain).  So we’re grateful to have a kid who will eat whatever we make!

Caelyn has grown a lot since we moved to Utah.  When we moved here she had only a few words in her vocab.  Now she puts little sentences together and you can usually understand what she’s trying to tell you.  Of course she’s taller and her hair has grown (as you can see from the picture below, if she pulls out her pony tails, she has clown hair).  She loves playing with her brothers and they protect her and watch out for her.  She loves to have you read to her and sing to her.  She tried to play songs on the piano and sing along with herself.  She also loves playing with her cousins and now that we live closer to most of them, she’s get to do that a lot!  We love our little girl!
