Channing Turns 6!

Well, Channing is officially 6 years old. There was a lot of excitement surrounding this birthday for him. He's been counting down to it since this summer. He was thrilled to get to have a turn lighting candles in his Kindergarten class. His teacher lit a candle that was on a big stick and then Channing lit 6 candles that were on a plate - each representing a year of his life. He then gave each of his classmates an agate (rock). His classmates made a book of wishes for Channing. His teacher gave him a doll made entirely of wool (that he made). So Channing was pretty excited about all this fun stuff.


Since my aunts Claudia and Donna were visiting, we took Channing to lunch at Chipotle where he downed 3 Quesadillas and some chips and guacamole. We also bought him a birthday cake at a really good bakery that I discovered a few years ago through the recommendation of a friend. (think the best white wedding cake you've ever had, and this would beat it)! We celebrated with the whole family at Macaroni Grill and then came home to cake and presents. So Channing had a great birthday! Happy 6th Birthday big guy!
