Dbacks Game & Derek & Friends

On Wed. Sept 17th we kept the kids up late at a Diamondbacks baseball game. The kids had free tickets from their summer reading program at the library and we were able to team up with the Eyre's who also had some freebies. It was a fun-filled night where the D-backs squeaked out a victory over my grandpa's favorite San Francisco Giants. The kids enjoyed eating lots of junk food and hanging out with their friends. We decided the best treat was the HUGE shaved ice that Channing had. It kept them all busy eating for well over a half hour (remind me to get one of those next time)! The other fun thing was the little playground they had for kids to play at (Who knew? A playground at the ballpark! Great idea)!

The day after the baseball game, my brother Derek flew in from Long Beach, CA for a short visit. On Friday his two friends Eric and Gary flew in and they went to cheer on Georgia at Sun Devil stadium Sat. night (Georgia beat ASU by the way). On Saturday we had the pleasure of going to Colton Willyerd's birthday party and then we came home to find that BYU had shutout Wyoming. So it was a fun day and week for us! Here are some pics of the guys before the game and making smoothies and eating chips and salsa in the kitchen.

What a fun week - I didn't realize they had a playground at the stadium. I guess now I will have to start taking Jessica when we go.
