As soon as the boys finished their last day of school on May 28th, I picked them up and we headed out of town to visit Devin, Heidi, Tyson, and Holly in Carlsbad, CA! Devin has a 3-month internship there so we decided that since they are so close, we should visit them! Bob had to stay in Phoenix to work, so it was just me and the boys for this trip. We had a blast hanging out with the Spann clan as we toured San Diego, visited the San Diego temple, got burned on the beach, and played at Legoland. We came home totally exhausted! Wish we could do it all over again!
While in San Diego we visited the Mormon Battalion Center in Old Town and went to lunch at a yummy Mexican place.
After leaving Old Town we went to Point Loma and saw an awesome lighthouse and an amazing view!
Point Loma has some tide pools, so we went at low tide to check it out. The tide was still pretty high so we didn’t see much, but the kids had fun playing anyway. We also saw a huge military cemetery covered in flags to celebrate Memorial Day.
After Point Loma we went to Seaport village and watched huge boats roll into the harbor. Some were commercial and some military. It was very cool to see them! Cason was exhausted and slept in the stroller for a while. He wasn’t too happy when he woke up.
We also ate dinner here. The pizza for the boys took FOREVER to come, but finally it did. They were starving by this point! Heidi and I had great sandwiches. Yummy!
We enjoyed watching the sunset off a beach in Carlsbad. What a fun-filled day. We all slept well this night!

How fun!! Now how do I get you to come for a visit to Utah this summer? You look great and barely pregnant, BTW!
