Yay! Christmas Day was awesome! The boys slept in until after 7 (miracle) and Bob made them wait even longer until he was good and ready to get up. The kids were going crazy having to wait! So mean Bob! (heehee). Finally we let them go down to see what Santa brought them. They got excited over every little thing and they got excited for each other.
Caelyn was trying to figure out what was going on the whole time. She just sat there being cute. The boys helped her open her presents. She got 2 dolls (that I have saved for my daughter for YEARS – literally 5 or more). My mom made some darling clothes for them. They are 15” bitty baby twins and they’re almost as big as Caelyn! So funny! She also got a darling baby blanket from Gr. & Gr. Paxman (family tradition for each baby to get a blanket with their name on it for their first Christmas). She also got cute soft piglet from Claudia and some teething rings and rice cereal (yum)!
The boys got building planks, clothes, books, a few movies, and a shut-the-box game. Channing got a spy gear watch from Santa and Cameron got club penguin Rockhopper and other various Club Penguin items. Cason got a geotrax airport (actually 2 that link together). Bob got bike shorts and some clothes and several books (a lot of books – start reading hun)! I got a Bosch to make bread! Hooray! The kids also got a gift card to Barnes and Noble and a Zoo membership!
So it was a fun-filled, unusually organized, opening of presents. Now that the kids are a little older, they seem to appreciate things a little more and are very excited about the things that they do get. After presents we had a leisurely breakfast and afternoon. We had dinner with the Miller’s later that day. Lots of fun!
Sadly our little Elf “Cocoa” had to go back to the North Pole with Santa, but the good news is that Santa came! (and the boys were lucky that he did because there was a lot of whining going on about getting the house cleaned up). So hopefully when Cocoa comes back next year, all the boys will have learned how to stop whining (ya, one can only hope)!
