Ward Christmas Party – December 17, 2010

Well, the annual ward Christmas Party has come and gone and it was a doozy!  The church recently changed it’s guidelines and the activities committee was dissolved. Suddenly Bob found himself in charge of all the food and the other bishopbric members were in charge of other things.  You know what happens when your husband is in charge of stuff? That’s right…the wife ends up picking up the pieces. LOL!  Really though, he did a good job delegating the purchasing of the food and most of the preparation.  Ham and potatoes were all brought by others.  We only had to make a HUGE salad (which we did in a foil lined gigantic bin).  Green beans and corn were warmed up there, but we ran out (note to self – need more cans next year).  Luckily they had some spare cans in the office, but it was almost too late once we got those heated.  There were plenty of rolls though! (yay for carbs)!  Next year – more desserts though – not quite enough!

I spent the whole evening running around and refilling dishes on the serving tables and making sure that things went smoothly as did Bob.  (That was one thing he forgot to delegate out).  We ate last and then I played for the primary to sing.  The band that played during dinner was AWESOME!  I loved that the very most about this party!  Great Music!

So good food, good friends, good entertainment…couldn’t ask for more (except maybe to have it catered) LOL!

I love this ward! Thanks to April and Travis and Erma for wrangling my unhappy baby and taking pictures for me!
